Welcome Back to School!
Welcome to a new school year! My name is Melissa Casady and I am the new Turner Parent Club president. I am so excited to be more involved this year. Being an elementary teacher myself before having children, I know that August/September is a time of great anticipation for teachers and students. I never gave much thought to how parents felt until last year when my oldest child started at Turner as a first grader. I was more nervous than he was! Luckily, the teachers and principal at Turner were fantastic and I felt comfortable in no time.
Working together with me on the board this year are a few wonderful ladies. Turner's third grade teacher, Sarah Federico, is our new treasurer. Our vice president is Kelly Kilgore and our secretary is long time parent club member Temre Yann. It is going to be a GREAT year!
The Turner Parent Club is run solely by volunteers. We need you! We have opportunities big and small so contact us if you would like to help.
I look forward to seeing you at our first parent club meeting on September 13th, at 6 pm in the Turner School library. Childcare is provided and everyone who attends will recieve a raffle ticket for a chance to win a restaurant gift certificate.
